I understand that the Through Your Own Lens® Retreat includes yoga, walking on uneven terrain, outdoor activities, and meals prepared or served on private property. These activities involve risks, including but not limited to falls, physical injury, illness, food-borne illness, allergic reactions, insect bites, and exposure to heat or cold.
I knowingly and voluntarily accept all risks of injury, illness, death, or property damage that may occur.
I understand that food and beverages prepared or served by Ovation Coaching and its Hosts are prepared in a non-commercial kitchen and may contain common allergens including nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, and shellfish. I am responsible for informing the Hosts of any allergies or dietary restrictions and for deciding whether it is safe for me to consume any food provided.
I accept full responsibility for any allergic reaction, illness, or injury related to food or drink consumed during the retreat.
I confirm that I am physically and mentally able to participate in yoga, walking, and retreat activities. I understand that I am responsible for knowing my limits and stopping or modifying any activity as needed.
In consideration for being allowed to participate in the Through Your Own Lens® Retreat, I hereby release and agree not to sue Ovation Coaching, its owner(s), the Hosts, their spouses, family members, employees, assistants, volunteers, and anyone associated with the retreat (“the Released Parties”) for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, food-borne illness, death, or property damage arising out of or related to my participation, including yoga, walking, food service, or time spent on the property, even if caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties. This release does not apply to gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, losses, or legal costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising from my actions, participation, or presence at the retreat.
If I am injured or become ill and cannot make decisions, I authorize the Released Parties to obtain medical treatment for me. I am responsible for all medical expenses.
I understand that I am responsible for my personal belongings. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
I understand that this is a legal contract governed by Maryland law. By signing, I give up important legal rights, including the right to sue for ordinary negligence. This agreement is binding on me and my heirs and legal representatives.
